My consultancy encompasses strategic advice and inspiration based on a solid basis of media research on games, gamification, sociale media, and online participatory culture. My activities include talks, workshops, debates, but also more exstensive research, policy advice and reporting. I have consulted (inter)national firms in a wide range of domains such as finance, safety & security, goverment, healthcare, politics, media, and the arts. Clients included Submarine, Aegon, Ministerie van Veiligheid & Justitie, Het Instituut, as well as several NGO’s and universities. I have advised start-ups, investors, political parties and non-profits. For over a year I consulted the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) by aiding in the design and implementation of their digital communication strategy.
Apart from being a university lecturer, I regularly do presentations, talks and keynotes at cultural events (Mediamatic, Impakt Festival, Club of Amsterdam, Stifo@Sandberg, Upload Cinema, Gamelab, Ignite), museums, symposia and conferences (eHRM conference, The Social Conference, Marketeer Congres, De Toekomst van DM, PICNIC, Landelijk Psychologie Symposium, Media van Morgen, Games for Health, Academy Noord) and participated in expert meetings, roundtable discussions and workshops (at the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, STT, TNO, Koninklijke Militaire Academie).
